Suriname’s leading telecommunications company TELESUR has decided to offer through its subsidiary WISE digital television to its customers. Suriname does not have high fiber density.
TELESUR therefore linked up with technical outsourcing company Divitel known for its innovativeness.

Television viewers in Paramaribo have now immediately switched from analogue to digital television. DVB-T2 is highly innovative and is used as an open technology world standard. This is an open standard making it possible to transmit digital, interactive television at a low cost.
TELESUR is making a breakthrough in South America with this implementation.
